🧠 Rise of Proprietary AI: Companies Transforming the World

The rise of artificial intelligence in recent years has triggered a race to develop AI-based technologies by the largest and most powerful companies in the world. What was once a neglected sector is now, in my opinion, a battleground where major corporations compete to lead the enterprise AI market. Here are the AI companies that are winning the battle:

Famous Companies:

These are the most famous companies that are developing their own artificial intelligence models. You probably recognize many of these companies:

Amazon alexa ia

Amazon’s AI:

Their AI Alexa is conquering the homes of many people, and although it’s a weak AI assistant type, it’s a very good option to experience artificial intelligence. I’m sure you’ve used it at least once.

IA de Google gemini

Google’s AI:

Google’s AI chatbot Bard (now Gemini) is competing with ChatGPT, and it couldn’t be any other company than the tech giant Google to challenge ChatGPT.

And I’ll be honest, Google’s AI has a lot of potential, although it’s not yet at the level of ChatGPT.

IA de Tesla autopilot

Tesla’s AI:

On the other hand, Tesla has been developing its driving assistance AI Autopilot for years, which uses cameras with artificial intelligence to drive its cars autonomously. Many viral videos have been seen of people sleeping in a Tesla while the car drives itself. I wouldn’t dare to go that far, to be honest.

IA de Netflix

Netflix’s AI:

Not everyone knows that the secret behind Netflix’s series and movie recommendations is in its artificial intelligence algorithms. That’s right, Netflix’s AI is used to learn what you like and show you similar content.

Apple’s AI:

Siri, the virtual assistant that helps you in your day-to-day life, is another AI focused on simpler tasks, especially on mobile devices. If you have an iPhone, then you’ve surely used Siri at least once. Not many people know that Siri is Apple’s AI that has been enduring your requests for years, “Hey Siri” just kidding, AI is here to help!

IA de meta

Meta’s AI (Facebook):

Facebook, now known as Meta, has been using artificial intelligence in its products and algorithms for years, such as content recommendations like Netflix, fake news detection, facial recognition, and they have also created virtual assistants that are available in their messaging apps like Whatsapp and Messenger.

Microsoft’s AI:

Another tech giant that has developed many artificial intelligences. Not only has it invested in Open AI and collaborated in the creation of GPT-4 and Dall-E 2, but they have also developed their own AIs like Copilot, a chatbot that can help you with various tasks, and the Microsoft Bing search engine also uses AI to improve search results for users.

Intel’s AI:

Intel is another hardware company that uses AI combined with its processors to accelerate and improve performance. Additionally, Xeon processors are designed to support high workloads and offer high performance in AI training. Intel has always been very committed to innovating in the field of artificial intelligence, and like Nvidia, they do not have their own AI model but participate in the training of many artificial intelligences.

IA de Twitter

X’s AI (Twitter):

Elon Musk has not only developed AI with Tesla but also with the company he recently bought, Twitter, now called X, he created his own artificial intelligence model called Grok, a chatbot that processes language, detailed internet searches, and image generation.

Personally, I haven’t used it yet, but it’s on my list of AIs to try, and since this article is not about my experience with these AIs but about the companies that have developed artificial intelligence, that’s why I mention it here.

IA de canva

Canva’s AI:

Canva has also developed AI tools to improve the design experience for its users on its platform, such as: Magic Write, which creates texts for publications and presentations, Magic Edit, which edits images by replacing objects or modifying them with just a few prompts, Magic Design, which creates designs with photos and texts that you upload. It also uses AI to remove image backgrounds and translate into different languages, and not forgetting my favorite Canva AI, Magic Media, which I use very often to create very good quality images.
